Formycon is an international leading, independent developer of high-quality biopharmaceutical medicines, especially biosimilars. With an experienced team comprised of around 200 highly skilled professionals, the company is able to span the entire value chain of biosimilar drug development, from market analysis and target definition by protein analytics, to the development of production processes, to clinical trials and the regulatory approval process.
Our focus is on treatments in ophthalmology and immunology as well as for other key chronic diseases. Formycon is making a major contribution towards providing as many patients as possible with access to vital and affordable medicines.
To support our Drug Product Process Development team in Martinsried near Munich, for the duration of two years, we are looking for suitable candidates for this full-time position, to begin work as soon as possible.
Your responsibilities
- Develop robust manufacturing processes for biosimilar drug products (syringes and vials), including experimental design, execution, and its documentation
- Lead technology transfer activities of large-scale GMP manufacturing processes, including process characterization and support of validation and regulatory submissions
- Support production campaigns on-site, including participation in transfer meetings and manufacturing runs as required
- Prepare high-quality scientific and technical documentation, such as reports, risk assessments, and development packages for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Quality, Regulatory Affairs, CDMOs)
- Contribute to global regulatory documentation (e.g., CTD, IMPD, IND)
- Represent Drug Product Process Development in internal and external meetings and scientific exchanges
- Build and manage strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, including CDMOs, CROs, and licensing partners
Your qualifications
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) with minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience, or PhD with minimum of 3 years industry experience, or comparable qualification with demonstrated expertise
- Strong knowledge of drug product development, manufacturing, and process transfer within the biopharmaceutical industry
- Structured, results-oriented, and hands-on working style with strong problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented mindset combined with the ability to work independently and take ownership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High level of motivation and enthusiasm to contribute in a dynamic biotech environment
- Very good command of English (written and spoken); basic German is an advantage
- Valid work permit for Germany
