Your responsibilities
The role focuses on managing end-to-end supply chain activities, with a strong emphasis on the coordination of external manufacturers in the field of biologic medicines, ERP system management (Microsoft Dynamics 365), and artwork process involvement.
The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking, hands-on operational experience in the management of external manufacturers in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, and strong collaboration skills in an international environment.
The role has a direct reporting line to the Senior Director Supply Chain and Logistics.
Candidates should be willing to work on-site in Martinsried at least three days per week.
The role involves the following responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate supply chain activities across external partners, including Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs) for Drug Substance (DS), Drug Product (DP), and Finished Goods (FG) packaging.

Act as a key interface between internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Artwork, Finance) and external partners.

Oversee and optimize order management, planning, and logistics processes using ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Monitor production timelines, delivery performance, and supply chain risks, ensuring timely execution and compliance with GMP/GDP requirements.

Contribute to and manage artwork (AW) processes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide structured supply chain feedback to enhance processes and performance.

Utilize project management tools (e.g. MS Project, C-Place) to plan, track, and report on supply chain activities.

Drive digitalization and process optimization initiatives, including the use of AI-based solutions where applicable.
Your qualifications

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Proven experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, ideally within supply chain, operations or external manufacturing management.

Strong understanding of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 , as well as MS Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, C-Place).

Hands-on experience managing CDMOs across Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Finished Goods packaging processes; knowledge of pharmaceutical artwork processes is an advantage.

Strong organizational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Analytical, structured, and detail-oriented approach combined with a proactive, solution-focused, and continuous improvement mindset.

Commercial awareness, assertiveness, and the ability to drive topics independently and influence stakeholders.

Good understanding of digital technologies, with an interest in AI applications in supply chain management.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required. German language skills are considered a plus.
